If you’re looking for brookies that blur the line between brownie and cookie in all the best ways, bread that’s fresh enough to give your toaster a purpose, and pastries so flaky they’ve basically ghosted the gym—well, come on in! We’re not just here to feed you; we’re here to wow you. Every item in our display case is created to make you feel like you just scored the dessert jackpot. A Glaze visit isn’t just about grabbing a quick bite; it’s a mouthwatering escape from the ordinary.
From Childhood Flour to Glaze Bakery
This journey began in my Nonna's kitchen – where sleepovers meant flour-covered counters and the smell of fresh treats. Later, it became Wednesday nights with Aunty Lala, watching Bake Off while creating our own (slightly messy) masterpieces. Baking was always my escape, my therapy, my joy.
After years of honing my craft (hello, 10,000-hour rule!), I launched Lenny's Bakehouse as a wholesale business. But when a surprise call came about a St Albans property I'd dreamed of two years prior, everything clicked. Despite the terror (and the tears!), I knew: it was time to open Glaze.
This bakery is my heart on a plate – where buttery croissants meet crusty sourdough, where every bite carries memories of Nonna's kitchen and those Bake Off-inspired nights. I'm equal parts excited and terrified, but mostly so grateful you're here to share this sweet adventure with me.
